Mrs. Samms, the principal, is out of the school building today. All day! She has to go to KU to pick up her son, who has to be out of the dorm by 24 hours after his last final, which would be 8 tomorrow morning, so she is going today.
She is not really a witch, of course, but is not the most personable either. There is a different vibe in the school when she is gone. My kitchen cohorts and myself always enjoy it. She rarely has anything to do with us, day to day, but the teachers get so giddy about her being gone. These are grown men and women. It is funny to watch.
Anyway, she will be back tomorrow, hopefully with a plan for music for graduation.
